China and UAE Conduct Joint Exercise, Providing Beijing Access to Western Fighter Jet Capabilities

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has deployed several Mirage 2000-9 fighters for a month-long training exercise with China's People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). The joint airborne training exercise, Falcon Shield 2024, is designed to provide Beijing access to the intricate capabilities of the Mirage 2000 fighter, an aircraft also utilized by countries such as France and Taiwan.
