Hottest Day Ever Recorded on July 21st

Earth experienced its hottest day in recorded history on July 21, 2024, according to the Copernicus Climate Change Service, also known as C3S which operates under the European Commission of the EU. The average global temperature reached 17.09 degrees Celsius, or 62.7 degrees Fahrenheit, on the 21st, breaking the previous record of 17.08 degrees Celsius on July 6th, 2023. C3S's recording of global temperature records goes back to the year 1940.
