Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense (MND) said China will launch a rocket carrying a satellite that will likely fly over Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) scheduled for Thursday, August 1st..The last launch announced by the MND was in June for a June 22nd launch..This is one of 12 satellite launches in the past year and a half whose flight path crossed over Taiwan or its ADIZ. None of the past launches have posed a threat to Taiwan, as the rocket enters the Earth's atmosphere when it flies over Taiwan..The MND said the rocket launch site will occur at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province, citing an announcement by the Chinese government.
