The F-16 fighter jets that were earlier reported to have been delivered to Ukraine for the first time were purportedly revealed to have been from the Netherlands..The Times, a British media outlet, reported that a source told them that six jets had been sent from the Netherlands to Ukraine and that more were to come from Denmark. Another British media source, The Telegraph, later reported that some of the jets had already flown in a "air defense" capacity and that a Ukrainian air force official did not deny this..Ukraine is expected to receive 20 of the jets over the next year or so, enough to form a sole squadron, after U.S. President Joe Biden rescinded his protest against the U.S.-made aircraft being sent. Jets will be sent from Belgium and Norway as well. A total of 80 have been pledged over a longer time frame.
