Update (0723 EST): Two Russian Presidential Administration aircraft and one USAF C-130 transport aircraft have been spotted flying towards Ankara, Turkey, indicating the swap will occur there as opposed to the Polish border as previously reported..On July 31st, 2024, UK-Russian dual national Vladimir Kara-Murza was reported missing after attempts from his lawyer to contact him went unanswered. He was imprisoned in Omsk Oblast, Russian Federation. Within the same hour, it was reported that up to seven prisoners disappeared from Russian prisons and pre-trail detention centers since July 29th, in preparation for what is being described as one of the largest prisoner exchanges since the Cold War..Beginning at 1700 EST on July 31st, 2024, fight trackers spotted several suspicious cargo-plane flights into Kaliningrad from Moscow, then to Murmansk. These flights included the same plane that transported Brittney Garner from her gulag to exchange locations in December 2022..It appears that at least Vladimir Kara-Murza, US reporter Evan Gershkovich, and former-US Marine Paul Whelan will be released imminently or have already been released to the Polish border. There are also a number of Russian citizens which have been removed from US Bureau of Prisons databases in the last twenty-four hours including but not limited to Alexander Vinnik, Maxim Marchenko, Vadim Konoshchenok and Vladislav Klyushin..This is developing. The names of potentially released prisoners is not all-encompassing and may be omitting other possible names or including people who will not be released. Russian Presidential Spokesperson Peskov announced he will not comment on developments until "it is complete."
