Regional Coordinator of Venezuelan Opposition Reportedly Arrested

Maria Oropeza, the regional coordinator for Portuguesa State under Vente Venezeula, the political party which Maria Corina Machado, the leader of the opposition alliance known as the Unitary Platform, belongs to, was reportedly arrested by Venezuelan authorities on Tuesday, continuing the country's ongoing political repression following President Nicolas Maduro's electoral victory on July 28.
