Boeing Agrees to $200 Million Settlement With The SEC

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is set to receive a substantial sum from Boeing. The airplane manufacturer was accused of misleading investors about the 737 MAX, which was grounded for 20 months after two tragic crashes left 346 people dead. Boeing has agreed to pay $200 million to resolve the claims related to statements released following the aftermath. Additionally, the SEC reported that former Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg had agreed to pay $1 million to settle claims regarding the statements.
