Muqtada al-Sadr Declares Hunger Strike

The Sadrist Movement leader has announced, through his fellow Sadrist Bloc politician, Hassan Alathary, that he will be conducting a hunger strike until violence in Iraq is halted.

So far, at least four protestors have been killed by PMU forces inside the Green Zone after al-Sadr announced his retirement from politics. It is not currently clear who else will be joining the cleric, this is developing.
