Clashes broke out between Palestinian gunmen and the Israeli Defense Forces in northern West Bank during an IDF raid at the Jenin Refugee Camp.
While the Israeli military did not release many details, videos from the ground show Israeli special forces move in with military tractors and bulldozers before local gunmen opened fire on them. Sporadic small-arms fire could be heard throughout several videos. Once the IDF withdrew, photos show several people being rushed to the hospital.

Palestinian media said Israeli soldiers detained two brothers named Ahmed and Muhammad Jaradat, who allegedly have ties to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. According to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry, eight people were wounded during the fighting. A Palestinian News and Info Agency correspondent at the scene noted that a 68-year-old woman was shot in the hand and a paramedic was hit by shrapnel.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant praised the operation on Twitter, saying, “In their swift and courageous action in the refugee camp in Jenin, IDF and Shin Bet troops prevented serious attacks against Israeli citizens.”
