At Least Nine Killed in Clashes Between Colombia’s FARC and ELN Groups

The EMC currently stands at an estimated 3,530 members, with 2,180 fighters and 1,350 auxiliaries..The National Liberation Army is another Marxist-Leninist paramilitary group and predates the FARC, which was formed in 1964. The bulk of the ELN's members were students and youth activists instead of the peasant composition of the FARC.
