A massive rally lead by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party has began in Dhaka. The BNP is one of Bangladesh’s main opposition parties. An estimated 20,000 security forces have been deployed to monitor the crowds, which protestors claim to number above a million people. Preliminary protests over the last few days have seen protestors killed and injured, so things on the ground are very tense. Photos have emerged of security forces checking the cellphones as well as ID’s of people headed to the protest.
