The small unincorporated community of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, continued its long-standing tradition of midnight voting in the 2024 general election. This practice, which began in 1960, allows the town's registered voters to cast their ballots at the stroke of midnight on Election Day.
In this year's election, Dixville Notch's six registered voters—four Republicans and two independents—participated in the midnight vote, ending in a tie, with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump each receiving three votes.
Kamala gave her final remarks tonight, closing her campaign with:
"I am asking for your vote. And here is my pledge to you: As president, I pledge to seek common ground and common sense solutions to the challenges you face," Harris said. "I pledge to listen to those who will be impacted by the decisions I will make. I pledge to listen to experts. I pledge to listen to people who disagree with me. Because, you see, I don't believe that people who disagree with me are the enemy. I'll give them a seat at the table. That's what real leaders do. That's what strong leaders do."
Former President Donald Trump delivered a final campaign pitch in Pennsylvania, emphasizing a vision of an American "golden age" if re-elected. Speaking at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, he promised voters higher paychecks, safer communities, and a brighter future. Trump was joined by notable supporters, including Roberto Clemente Jr., who expressed his commitment to supporting Trump for the sake of future generations.
During the rally, Trump announced that podcaster Joe Rogan had endorsed him, highlighting the significance of this support. He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, asserting that she had failed to deliver on her promises and mocking her celebrity endorsements during campaign events. Trump reiterated his campaign themes, including a focus on immigration reform and combating drug crises, pledging to end what he termed the "migrant invasion" and impose tariffs on Mexico and China for drug-related issues.
As both he and Harris campaigned vigorously in Pennsylvania, polls indicated a tight race in the battleground state, which is crucial for the upcoming election. Trump concluded with a rallying cry for voters to help him restore America's power and prosperity.
In Nevada, the Secretary of State reported that Republicans led Democrats in early voting by over 50,000 ballots. While Democrats maintain a 12,000-ballot lead in Clark County (Las Vegas), Republicans hold a 9,000-ballot lead in Washoe County (Reno). A Republican candidate has not won Washoe County since 2004.
In Arizona, Republicans cast 195,964 more early votes than Democrats. Arizona remains a focal point in the 2024 elections, not only for the presidential race but also for the crucial Senate contest between Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Ruben Gallego, as they seek to replace former Democrat-turned-independent Kyrsten Sinema. The outcome of this Senate race could be pivotal in determining control of the Senate.
Despite being a convicted felon, Donald Trump remains eligible to vote in Florida due to the state's deference to New York's voting laws. Earlier this year, Trump was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records in Manhattan, becoming the first former U.S. president to face such charges. He is scheduled for sentencing on November 26. However, Florida law states that if a resident has a felony conviction from another state, the voting rights are determined by the laws of that jurisdiction. In Trump's case, New York law allows individuals with felony convictions to vote as long as they are not incarcerated at the time of the election.
Trump has not voted yet, but plans to vote in Florida today before returning to Mar-a-Lago. According to sources with Atlas, he is taking a slow morning as he was up till 2:15 last night in MI.
Cambria County, PA, housing a population of over 130,000, extended the polling hours by two hours due to a technical glitch with voting machines.
The Pennsylvania Department of State posted the following on X:
"The Department of State is in contact with county officials in Cambria County. Voters are continuing to vote by paper ballot, in accordance with normal operations, while the county resolves the issue with in-precinct scanning. We are working with the County to resolve this technical matter and remain committed to ensuring a free, fair, safe, and secure election."
Cambria County had a 2020 election turnout of over 70,000 total votes and was a significant Republican stronghold, winning the county by over double the amount of Democrat votes. These extended hours could delay the state's final results in a close race.
Several bomb threats were made against Fulton County, the county which captured the infamous Trump Mugshot. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger claimed they were of "Russian Origin" and were non-credible. These threats temporarily disrupted voting but the locations have since resumed normal operations. According to the Fulton County elections director Nadine Williams, the county is seeking to extend voting hours. The FBI is reportedly aware of the threat.
Election boards in each county must determine by 5pm Friday if each ballot was legitimately requested and cast. PA State election officials say challenges focus on two groups: nonmilitary voters living overseas and voters who forwarded ballots to new addresses without updating voter registration information. Challenges originate from local GOP-leaning groups in each county.
Donald Trump cast his ballot in Palm Beach, Florida, at around 11:43 a.m. EST, accompanied by Melania Trump. After voting, he briefly addressed the press, describing this campaign as "the best he's ever run." Earlier today, JD Vance cast his ballot in Ohio. With both Republican nominees having officially voted, their ballots are now counted.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz voted by mail and early voting earlier this week and late last week, respectively. Harris reportedly wanted to vote by mail to "model behavior" for her voters.
Tim Walz was seen at Capitol Diner just outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania early this afternoon, making a final stop on his campaign run before the polling cutoff at 8 p.m.
"She (Harris) wakes up every morning thinking about you," Walz said to a room of supporters, joined by his wife Gwen and son Gus.
Both campaigns have been making numerous stops in Pennsylvania, emphasizing the importance of its swing-state nature in the presidential election.
Top election official in swing state gives optimistic report of eleciton operations; cautions final tallies may take days.
Independent accounts posted on X this morning falsely quoting Raskin saying he wouldn't certify election. Raskin called the quote "100% fabricated." Raskin, a high-ranking House Democrat, served as lead impeachment manager in Trump's second impeachment trial.
Both candidates are preparing to monitor poll closures as the final votes are casted. Harris will watch at her alma mater, Howard University in D.C., where she received her B.A. in Political Science. Trump will attend a dinner at his Mar-a-Lago Resort with close friends and family, including Elon Musk, and is expected to appear at the Palm Beach Convention Center later in the night, where a larger group of his supporters will be in attendance.
The FBI has arrested two Michigan men for making threats related to the election.
Isaac Sissel, 25, from Ann Arbor, was arrested in Canton Township for allegedly making online threats against former President Donald Trump. He stated that he believed Trump "should have been assassinated." Sissel has been charged with making a threatening communication and is currently detained until a hearing on Thursday.
Christopher Clay Pierce, 46, from Jackson: Arrested for threatening a political action committee and making comments about Vice President Kamala Harris. He faces one count of making a threatening interstate communication and was released on bond.
A Kentucky judge declined state Democrats’ request to extend polling hours in Jefferson County, Ky. — a blue stronghold in the state — following hours of delays caused by technology failures.
The Kentucky Democratic Party told a Jefferson Circuit Court judge that, for the first three and a half hours of voting, system crashes prevented poll workers from processing voter check-ins roughly every three minutes. They asked the judge to extend voting hours until 8 p.m. so voters would not be disenfranchised.
But the judge determined that state Democrats failed to establish that the errors occurred county-wide or that anyone was expressly denied the right to vote. He also said that any delays would have occurred in the morning.
Voters still in line by 6 p.m., when polls closed, can still cast their ballots in accordance with state law, the judge ruled.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Central Count is resetting tabulation machines to zero and recounting approximately 31,000 absentee ballots due to improperly sealed counting machines. "Some doors were not fully secured by senior election officials," the Milwaukee Election Commission (MEC) said in a statement. This error will likely delay complete election results in Milwaukee by at least a couple of hours.
Two voters from key swing states have filed lawsuits against Elon Musk and his super PAC, America PAC, accusing them of fraud on Election Day. The lawsuits claim that Musk and the PAC misled participants by falsely advertising a $1 million cash giveaway as a random daily draw.
Robert Alvarez, from Michigan, and Jacqueline McAferty, from Arizona, each filed separate lawsuits seeking damages. Their legal actions came a day after an attorney for America PAC revealed in a Philadelphia courtroom that the cash giveaways were not random, as previously stated by Musk.
Alvarez’s lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, alleges that Musk and America PAC committed fraud and breached their contract by leading him to believe he had an equal chance of winning $1 million through a random selection process.
McAferty's lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, makes similar claims. She is seeking class-action status, suggesting that over 1 million people might have been similarly misled.
Latino men are breaking for Trump by a 10-point margin, 54% to 44%, in a major reversal from four years ago, according to the NBC News Exit Poll. In 2020, Latino men backed Biden over Trump by a 23-point margin, 59% to 36%.
The Democrats have also lost ground with Latino women, though to a lesser extent. Harris has a 25-point advantage among Latino women, down from Biden’s 39-point advantage in 2020. One silver lining for Harris is that she is faring slightly better than Biden did with white voters.
Fox is currently the only outlet to call the race for President Trump. But statically speaking, if he carries Pennsylvania, he will carry Alaska and that will put him over the 270 mark.
Johnson has reportedly left his own count in Louisiana to join ecstatic Republicans flocking to Trump Campaign HQ, with RFK Jr., Elon Musk, and Nigel Farage to name a few notable individuals already there.
With NBC and Politico calling Pennsylvania for Trump, and carrying Wisconsin, Donald Trump will return to the White House as the 47th President.

Local sources in Maricopa County, AZ, and Clark County, NV, report that both counties plan to release several thousand ballots around 9 p.m. EST and again around midnight EST. These ballots are mostly from Election Day drop-offs and are anticipated to impact key Senate and House races.
Notably, in Arizona, the Senate seat is being contested between Gallego and Lake. Election data suggests that the ballots may lean in favor of Gallego, potentially allowing him to secure the seat.
Democrats are hoping to flip AZ 06 House seat in a contested race between Engel (D) and Incumbent Ciscomani (R), where Engel currently holds a 1.6% lead with just under 57% of the vote in for the SouthEast Arizona House Seat.
The Associated Press has called the remaining races for the Pennsylvania House Congressional House Seats. Republicans will hold 10 of the state's 17 house seats and are edging closer to a total majority, with a current projected 209 seats compared to the Democrats' 195. A majority in the House requires 218 seats.
In North Carolina, AP called NC District 1 for incumbent Don Davis (D), who was defending his seat in the final stages of vote tallying.
A few races are still uncalled along the East Coast and in the central U.S., while the majority of remaining races are in Arizona, Nevada, California, and Washington.
With 99% of the ballots in, every county in Oklahoma and West Virginia is majority Republican. Meanwhile, every county in Rhode Island and Massachusetts is a majority Democrat.
