TRUCE OR DARE
Economic Downturns and Democratic Faith
India, Portugal, the United States, and other nations used as examples of new powers led by Populist actors. This episode is focused on the globalized aspect of populism and its impacts regarding the IMF and how lending to countries is affected by populism. The thesis presented is that there is a clear correlation between economic downturn and success amongst support for populism which yields a lack of faith in democracy.
