Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense issued a report stating thirty-two aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and five ships from the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) were detected around Taiwan from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. local time.
At least twenty aircraft have entered the Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the southwest, southeast, and eastern areas, according to further reports.
Taiwanese armed forces monitored the situation, sending aircraft, vessels, and activating coastal missile systems in response to Chinese military activity in the area.
