Delivery of Last Two S-400 Squadrons to India Will be Delayed Until 2026

Russia said that the delivery of the remaining two squadrons of the S-400 long range Surface to Air Missile systems to India will be delayed until 2026.

Reports indicate that Russia recently informed the Indian government that they would have to delay the delivery until at least August 2026.

Originally, Russia was supposed to deliver all five squadrons by 2024 but faced delays due to the ongoing Ukrainian conflict. International sanctions and the need to equip its own forces are the reasons for the delays.

India deployed the three S-400 squadrons they received to the border with Pakistan and the Line of Control, the country’s disputed border with China.
