On June 27th, the Philippines’ National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) confirmed that mayor Alice Guo’s fingerprints match those of a Chinese citizen named Guo Huaping.
The NBI compared the fingerprints of both Alice and Guo and said that both fingerprints “were found to be identical.”
On June 28th, Philippine Senator Risa Hontiveros said that Guo would have to serve any prison sentence in the Philippines before she is deported.
An ongoing Philippine Senate probe also alleges that Guo stole vendors’ identities for use as incorporators in Hongsheng Gaming Technology.
