On July 10th, the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) criticized the parliament over the stalled laws to amend the Immigration Act to ban Israeli passport holders from entering the country. MDP legislators held a press conference on July 9th, where they pointed out that the bill is still shelved at the committee stage of the voting process after the 20th Parliament completed its tasks at an expedited pace.
