North Korea Launches Another Ballistic Missile

A North Korean missile moments after engine ignition.

The Japanese Prime Minister’s Office has announced that North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile. These North Korean launches are becoming extremely common. North Korean leadership and media say the launches are in response to actions taken by the U.S. and regional allies such as Japan and South Korea. The most recent actions are operation ‘Freedom Shield’ which saw the U.S. and regional allies practice operations that would take place in the event of a North Korean attack on South Korean territory. More information to come.

Update: The Japanese Coast Guard is reporting a potential second missile launch.
