Kaczynski was found unresponsive in his cell early Saturday morning and was pronounced dead around 8 a.m., according to Breshears, in a federal prison medical center in Butner, North Carolina. He was transferred to the medical center in December 2021 following a decline in health. No official cause of death has been given yet.
