The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the air defense units around Moscow shot down a drone over the city with no casualties reported.
“This night, an enemy drone attempted to carry out an attack and was shot down by forces of the Defense Ministry,” Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said via his social media accounts. “No damage or casualties have been reported.”
This was echoed by the Defense Ministry. “This morning, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack with an unmanned aerial vehicle on objects in the Moscow region was thwarted. The UAV was destroyed by air defense,” the ministry stated.
Kyiv has not yet commented on the incident at the time of publishing.
