Months after his death, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) has confirmed the death of its leader, Abu Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi, and named Abu Hafs al-Hashimi al-Qurashi as the next Caliph.
President Erdogan of Turkey had announced the death of Al-Qurashi back in April of this year. He was killed in Aleppo, Syria, during an operation carried out by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization.
Turkey announced the killing of overall ISIS leader (Abu Hassein Qurayshi) in Syria. He blew up himself after the building he lived in was surrounded during a MIT raid.
