Dutch Authorities Seize Large Stash of Ketamine

Dutch Law Enforcement have seized a stash of 2 tonnes of Ketamine on Friday, January 19, along with other substances.

The stash was discovered on the property of a 55-year old man residing in Googweg, located in Muiderberg, which is east of the capital of Amsterdam. The drugs were hidden in a shed within the property, and the property owner was arrested.

Ketamine is used in the medical field for pain management, but is also used recreationally outside of medicine. Although not technically illegal to possess in the Netherlands, you must be registered in order to distribute or store it.

The stash was described by police as “the largest stash of Ketamine ever discovered”, and carried a street value of €55 million EU or almost $60 million USD.
