The Pakistani Air Force (PAF) recently announced that it brought a new Saab Erieye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft.
The new aircraft will increase the number of Erieye the PAF operates to nine total airframes. The aircraft is reported to have an Active Scanned Electronic Array radar with a detection range of about 280 miles/450 km.
The news comes less than one month after the PAF retired its fleet of Chinese produced ZBK-03 AEW&C aircraft due to mechanical and technical issues.
