The Philippines and Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase maritime cooperation between their coast guards in the South China Sea.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong signed the MoU during a bilateral meeting in Hanoi.
China will likely react negatively to the news since it does not like small countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam signing agreements to increase maritime cooperation in the South China Sea.
