Vladimir Putin Addressed the Russian People Following Crocus City Hall Attack

Today March 23 president Vladimir Putin addressed the Russian people in a televised speech following yesterday’s terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall, which caused at least 133 deaths.

Without mentioning ISIS, the president of the Russian Federation claimed that all the attackers had been arrested while fleeing in the direction of Ukraine, where he alleged a path was facilitated for their escape.

These accusations have been refuted by Kyiv, which denied any involvement in the attack shortly after the assault began last night. Ukrainian representatives characterized the onslaught as a deliberate action by Russian authorities, instrumentalized to escalate the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

Putin also declared Sunday March 24 a day of national mourning.
