Indian External Affairs Minister will Visit the Philippines For Two Days

On March 24th, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will visit the country from March 25th to 27th.

The minister will meet with his Philippine counterpart, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique A. Manalo, to discuss “defense and maritime cooperation, food security, development, healthcare, and financial technology cooperation.” Furthermore, Manalo and Jaishankar will also discuss increasing trade and tourism between the two countries.

The Philippines is the second country on Jaishankar’s “Southeast Asia tour” with him also visiting Singapore and Malaysia.
