Authorities Imposed Curfew in Chin State Capital After Convey Attack

On April 22nd, the local government administrator imposed a nightly curfew in the Chin state capital, Hakha, located in northeastern Myanmar.

The letted said the curfew will involve the closure of stores and prohibited public gatherings and said that no more than five people can gather at churches and will be in effect until further notice.

The curfew came after the Chinland Defense Force attacked a military convoy in the city’s Dawrathar block and caused several injuries. The local administrator corroborated the group’s statement by saying the attack injured several VIP officers traveling in the convoy.
