Indian Army to Receive New UAV Munitions and VSHOARD Systems

The Indian Army will receive a “game-changing” UAV-launched Precision Guided Munition (ULPGM) and Very Short Range Air Defense System (VSHOARD) from Adani Defense.

The ULPGM, jointly developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is set to be delivered on May 18th. The compact missile can be launched from quadcopters and features jamming-proof technology.

The VSHOARD is jointly developed with Research Centre Imarat (RCI), DRDO, and other industry partners. This Man-Portable Air Defense System (MANPAD) is designed for low-altitude aerial targets at short ranges, featuring a miniaturized reaction control system (RCS) and a dual-thrust motor.

These systems will bolster the Indian armed forces’ ongoing mobilization efforts.
