The People’s Defense Force (PDF) in Puta-O announced they have arrested the commander of the Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 137 in northern Kachin State, Myanmar.
This arrest follows a report that the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and PDF personnel were cutting off supply lines to junta units from Puta-O to Myitkyina.
The Puta-O PDF was trained by the KIA, one of the largest ethnic groups in Myanmar. They have been fighting the government for decades.
