The Chin Brotherhood said they captured a Junta military base and nine soldiers in the city of Tedim, Chin State, on May 27th. The Junta also sustained several casualties from the attacks and conducted air and artillery strikes in several areas of the town in reaction.
PDF – Zoland is also reported to have sustained one casualty during the fighting.
Reports state that fighting between the two groups started fires throughout the town, with dozens of homes and other buildings burning down. However, PDF – Zoland said the Junta started the fires in reaction to the group’s recent successes.
Various reports indicate that intense fighting is still ongoing in some areas of the town.
