The Junta has retaken Kennedy military outpost in Chin State, northern Myanmar on Tuesday, June 19th, after it was seized by the People’s Defense Force Zoland last month.
PDF-Zoland is an anti-Junta resistance group and a member of the Chin Brotherhood Alliance, made up of other resistance groups that are engaging the Junta.
The Junta reportedly sent around 100 soldiers to recapture the position; however, it was reported that the PDF had already vacated the area. The Junta plans to assault Cikha and Rihkhawder, positions occupied by Chin resistance forces within Chin State, led by the Kalaymyo regional command headquarters in Monywa, Sagaing region, northwestern Myanmar.
