Indian Supreme Court Remands Delhi Minister to Custody Until July 12th Over Excise Policy Case

On June 29th, India’s Supreme Court remanded Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after ruling that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) can take him into custody.

The ruling allows the CBI to hold Kejriwal under its Judicial Custody at Tihar Jail until July 12th. Kejriwal is accused of being linked to an investigation into the excise policy over alcohol taxes.
