Sea Traffic Warning Indicates Fujian Aircraft Carrier Will Begin Third Sea Trials on July 3rd

On July 1st, the China Maritime Safety Administration’s Shanghai branch issued a sea traffic warning for the Yangtze River Estuary for July 3rd.

The warning indicates that the Fujian aircraft carrier will conduct its third sea trial on July 3rd, with the training area likely to be announced prior to the Fujian departing.

The message said that the administration will implement traffic control measures at the estuary “for a large ship at the deepwater channel exit” and will affect all vessels wishing to enter or exit the area.

The traffic control measures will be implemented for ships exiting the deepwater channel from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. local time on the waters from buoys 302, 301, and 42 to Changxing Island Wharf.

The measures will also affect all ships entering the channel from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time.
