Ian Tortorici, known as ‘Frank’, has reportedly been killed while serving in Ukraine in the International Legion as a part of a combat unit against Russian forces.
According to reports, he was at a restaurant while on leave that was subject to a Russian missile strike, killing 60 others and Tortorici.
Ian is one of several US citizens that have volunteered and died as a result of Russia’s invasion, thought the number is unconfirmed.
“Our ability to verify reports of deaths of US citizens in Ukraine is extremely limited,” A United States State Department representative told media in May.
