On June 19th, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) stated that two soldiers were killed and another three were wounded by drone strikes by the Junta in the town of Nawnghkio, located in western Shan state.
The strikes come two days after the government conducted another series of drone strikes in the same area that killed one TNLA soldier and injured four others.
The town falls under the TNLA’s 2nd Brigade area of operations. The attacks are the latest effective drone strikes conducted by the Junta against rebel groups.
