The Houthis and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of Iran-backed Shia militias, claim to have carried out joint strikes against the Israeli port cities of Ashdod and Haifa, however, there were no air alerts for either of the cities or reports of strikes.

On June 6, both groups announced their first joint strikes against Haifa, but, like today, there was no indication of successful attacks against the city.
The announcement of the cooperation can be viewed as largely symbolic, underscoring rising tensions between Israel and Iranian-backed forces in the region, as well as their increased willingness to escalate military action.
