Ukraine Now Vying for Western Fighter Jets

With the news still fresh of main battle tanks being sent to Ukraine from western countries, an advisor to Ukraine’s defence minister wasted no time in publicly stating what lethal aid Ukraine is gunning for next.

Advisor to Ukraine’s Defence Minister, Yuriy Sak told Reuters, “The next big hurdle will now be the fighter jets… If we get them, the advantages on the battlefield will be just immense… It’s not just F-16s. Fourth generation aircraft, this is what we want.”

As many know, Ukraine’s air force is made up of aircraft left over from the Soviet Union.

Yuriy Sak went on to say, “they didn’t want to give us heavy artillery, then they did. They didn’t want to give us Himars systems, then they did. They didn’t want to give us tanks, now they’re giving us tanks. Apart from nuclear weapons, there is nothing left that we will not get”.
