Multiple U.S. Hospitals Attacked by Russian Hackers

Russian affiliated hacking group Killnet has claimed responsibility for shutting down services including public facing websites at eight U.S. hospitals this morning. So far, the University of Michigan Hospital and Stanford Health Care Center have reported degraded website and portals services.

Killnet affiliated Telegram pages began buzzing on 27JAN22 when President Biden announced the transfer of up to (31) M1A2 Abrams to Ukraine. This enhanced tranche of heavy military aid apparently enticed this group to target critical U.S. infrastructure.

The attacks are ongoing and it is not clear what other hospitals or infrastructure have been impacted.
