Yesterday, a mass strike occurred in Greece when thousands of workers didn’t show up to their jobs and instead headed to Athens to protest.

The incident that sparked all this happened last month when a train transporting more than 350 people collided with a freight train.
57 people were killed in the collision.
The majority of the passengers were university students.
Those protesting claim that the crash was preventable and that the current Greek government ignored warnings unions made concerning safety measures.
The protests resulted in more than 25,000 people gathering in Athens.
Clashes unsurprisingly happened with protesters using petrol bombs and riot police responding with teargas.

Note, these are not the only protests that have occurred over the train crash.
Last week, Athens saw thousands of protesters gather.
