Update (2019 EST): Suspect in custody and multiple agencies are on scene cordoning off the church.
Police are on scene and currently clearing the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. At least one has been killed and at least six are injured.
