Trump Expected To Announce 2024 Bid Shortly After Midterms

According to three individuals acquainted with the somewhat secret conversations, the inner circle of former President Trump is considering making the formal declaration of the start of a 2024 presidential campaign on November 14. The announcement, if it does happen, will probably be followed by a multi-day series of political events.

Since many weeks ago, Trump and his closest aides have been teasing an announcement for 2024. However, such conversations have progressed to the point where supporters are planning their trips and scheduling off days in their calendars for the week following the midterm elections.

Trump intends to capitalize on the more-than-likely post-midterm hype among Republicans in order to gain support for his own campaign to win the White House. Almost every indicator shows that Republicans will have a successful night on Tuesday. It’s not really a question of if the GOP will win, but merely, how big they will win. However, the standard deviation of polling numbers could paint a different picture. (more on that later)

Expect Trump to take credit for all Republican successes, even those that he helped to advance through his endorsements and even those that he had nothing to do with. That’s kind of just how he rolls: taking credit for everything. Trump has long planned to declare soon after the midterms — and even flirted with declaring before Nov. 8 — to get ahead of prospective challengers for the GOP’s 2024 candidacy, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Trump has been edging closer and closer in recent weeks to declaring that he is running, enjoying the cheers he inevitably receives by hinting at it to his supporters at his rallies.
In Sioux City, Iowa, on Thursday, Trump addressed the crowd “In order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again … Get ready that’s all I’m telling you — very soon. Get ready.”

The conversations are still in progress and may alter in response to Tuesday’s outcomes, particularly if the Senate is still in doubt and the Georgia contest between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock requires a run-off. It’s Trump, to be clear. Anything could happen.

Predictit, the popular website for ‘betting’ on outcomes within politics and markets, has seen an uptick in the odds of Trump announcing and filing to run for President before 2023. While this is all speculation, and completely made up of general public opinion, that opinion is painted by movements and comments from those close to Trump, or Trump himself. When playing golf recently at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump referred to himself as the 45th and the 47th president. Below is the recent trading volume on the contract of Trump filing before 2023. Odds are, an announcement and the official filing are probably going to happen at the same time.
