Zelenskyy set to meet with Biden at White House

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be meeting with Joe Biden at the White House today.

After the meeting, Zelenskyy will then address a joint session of Congress.

The White House website has also said that Joe Biden will announce a “significant new package of security assistance to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression”.

Politico is reporting that this package will include a Patriot air defense battery, Joint Direct Attack Munition Kits, and $850 million of artillery and other munitions.

Note, the Biden administration has been hesitant to give the Ukrainian military arms that would allow them to strike Russian positions deep inside Russia proper.
