Update (2054 EST): All eight victims were adults. However, after the shooting, a juvenile and another adult sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the ensuing stampede.
Update (2030 EST): Local police have confirmed that at least eight people have sustained gunshot wounds, but there are no life-threatening injuries at this time.
At approximately 1917 EST, reports began to emerge of a shooting at Avenue M and North 13th Street intersection in Fort Pierce, Florida. An MLK Day Car Show and Family Fun Day Event was being held near that location at Ilous Ellis Park in Fort Pierce. However, by 2017 EST, police confirmed that dozens of shots were fired.
