Update (1935 EST): Palestinian sources reporting the victim was a 26-year-old man from the village of Hura in Negev. They confirm the shooting at Chain Gate (Bab al-silsilah)

Update (1733 EST): Israeli media is reporting that one Palestinian youth was shot after attempting to stab an IDF guard and snatch his weapon. This occurred at the Chain Gate.

Israeli Defense Forces are responding to a shooting at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Old City Jerusalem, otherwise known as the Temple Mount, one of the holiest sites in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. At least one has been confirmed shot. This is developing.
