Update (1809 EST): authorities have issued a General Alarm, the highest rating for an emergency situation for the currently uncontrolled fire.

The Manila Central Post Office is currently on fire. The fire has been raised to a Task Force Delta, one level below the highest classification, Echo.

The fire began around 1200 EST and has been burning for about six hours.
