At approximately 1528 EST, Russian state-owned media reported that a man had been found with critical stab wounds to his chest and abdomen on Ratnaya Ulitsa in Moscow. The initial report reads below:
“It was 2:00 am on the 13th when a North Korean man in his 30s was stabbed and in critical condition in the car of the North Korean embassy in Russia .
TASS news agency reported that the police who responded to the report found a 37-year-old man lying on the ground in a Volkswagen belonging to the North Korean embassy parked on Ratnaya Street in Moscow .
The man, who suffered stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but was said to be in critical condition.”
The employee is a North Korean citizens by the name of Mr. Kim. He is hospitalized in serious condition and there are currently no suspects.
On June 7th, 2023, a North Korean diplomat’s family went missing in Vladivostok. These two incidents in such close proximity raise serious questions about possible connection with regards to the targeting of North Korean diplomats aboard.
