North Macedonia Expels Multiple Russian Diplomats

According to the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, three Russian diplomats have been declared persona non grata and have been given five days to leave the country. The expulsion is the first since March 2022, when Macedonia joined dozens of nations in ejecting Russian diplomats over protest to the invasion of Ukraine.

This expulsion follows claims by the Macedonian govern that thee diplomats: “committed actions that are contrary to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and in the next 5 days they will have to leave the territory of Macedonia.” They are named as I. Khropjachkov, A. Rozhdevsdvenski, as well as the attaché S. Popov.
