Update (2247 EST): Six Capitol Police Officers have been injured and one suspect has been arrested.
Tonight 6 officers were treated for injuries – ranging from minor cuts to being pepper sprayed to being punched. One person has been arrested for assault on an officer. We appreciate our officers who kept these illegal & violent protesters back & protected everyone in the area.

At approximately 1956 EST, a group of about 150 violent protestors occupied the steps to the U.S. Democratic National Committee Headquarters on South Capitol Street, Washington DC.

By 2040 EST, USCP announced several road closures as it was attempting to subdue the crowd which became violent against the officers. All staff and crew members at the DNC HQ have been evacuated.
