House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced she will no longer seek re-election to leadership positions within the House for the Democratic Caucus after serving her current term. This comes as Democrats lost majority of the House amongst the latest #midterm elections.
Speaking to the a house floor, Pelosi said “I will not seek reelection to Democratic leadership in the next Congress,” adding that “the hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic caucus that I so deeply respect.”She will continue to serve as a California representative.
