Earthquake in Turkey Leaves 50 Injured

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has hit northwestern Turkey with the province of Düzce endured the worst of it. Initial reports of tremors began coming out roughly seven hours ago.

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency has stated there were 101 aftershocks and that 50 people have been injured. Note that the injuries are not limited only to Düzce. Many are being reported from neighboring provinces.
